In a fit of pique when her husband gets a back to back deployment, Andy sends him off in anger and those were the last words he heard from her. Guilt and grief weigh her down until a little Halloween Magic gives her another chance to make amends.

This was a short story that packed a punch. It was a snippet really, but was developed for all that. It reflects on the difficulties of a marriage when one is a SEAL and that is tough enough, but it also addresses sending one's spouse away in anger. I think that is what will stick with me- no matter how mad we get at each other that we don't send a loved one away with hard words in case they are the last words they hear.

Bittersweet, but lovely ghostly romance.

This short story is beautifully written. I cried and loved every page. This story is about love, loss, and second chances. A must read!
Enjoyed reading this short story, it was sad yet comforting and heartfelt. Creative writing and the plot is original and emotional.

Is it a good idea to cast a spell? To bind a spirit to his wife from sundown to sunup? How many would say no given a choice? Even if it's only for a bit?
I really loved this short story. I'm a sucker for military romances and loved reading this one. Would have liked it to be longer, but of course it says short story so I knew it wouldn't be. I'd like to read more from this author.
Beautiful short story. Brought me to tears--and any book that elicits this kind of an emotional reaction from me deserves all 5 stars! The premise fulfilled the wish of every widow...a chance to say goodbye, to right wrongs, to touch him just one more time. Quick read. Highly recommended.
